Corporal punishment is generally defined as any measure intended to be injurious to an
individual. More specifically, it is the use of force on an individual for the purpose of
inflicting pain or discomfort, the improper use of any type of chemical substance or
violence of any kind to cause physical harm.
Use of corporal punishment by personnel shall be cause for disciplinary action and is to
be reported to appropriate supervisors.
