Purpose
The purpose of this field memorandum is to provide specific guidelines that are unique to this facility in order to fully implement standard operating procedure507.02.01.001.
General Statement
This field memorandum is subject to revision at the discretion of the warden of this facility, chief of the Operations Division (or designee), or director of the Idaho Department of
Correction. Any one of these persons may revise, suspend, or rescind any procedural steps, at any time, at hissole discretion.

Definitions
Emergency checklist: Upon notification of an emergency the central control sergeant or officer will initiate the designated emergency checklist (attachment A). This checklist will be
forwarded to the shift commander when the emergency is resolved and will be included in the daily packet.Response TeamsAt the beginning of each shift designated response teams will be
chosen by the assistant shift commander. These teams will be posted in Share Point and published via email to the institutional staff.A team: Staff able to respond immediately without
affecting their assigned areas.B team: Staff designated to respond with special abilities and may require additional closing down or securing of their work area.C team: Response team
from outside the institution that will generally report with additional equipment as requested.Types of Emergencies
An emergency where the on-site officer determines that the assigned staff is sufficient to isolate, contain and control the situation and additional security/medicalpersonnel are not
required.
(A team Response) An emergency where the on-site officer determines that the efforts to isolate, contain and control the situation cannot be handled by the staff present and additional
security/medical personnel are needed due to the severity of the situation.
(B team Response)An emergency where the on-site officer determines that the efforts to isolate, contain and control the situation cannot be handled by the staff present. Additionally
due to the nature, severity and/or uncertainty of the situation additional security, medical and specialized staff maybe required.
(C team Response) An emergency where the Shift Commander determines that the ISCC on site staff or resources are not sufficient to isolate, contain and control the situation. The Shift
Commander may request activation of the CERT team, staffing from South Boise Complex, Medical, Fire or Outside Law Enforcement.
Activating an Incident
The Incident Command System (ICS) may be activated for any incident or event that requires additional resources or modified facility operations.
Work Area Evacuation
In the event a situation occurs where staff must evacuate a post or work area they will receive authorization from a shift commander/incident commander, if time and circumstance allow.
The logbook, security keys and radios will be placed in the orange bag and removed from the security site. All staff must be familiar with and utilize muster and/or staging areas as
outlined in this field memorandum or as directed by the shift commander/incident commander.
Central control will contact officers in muster/staging areas to request names of staff and offenders in the muster/staging areas.
