Purpose
The purpose of this field memorandum is to provide specific guidelines that are unique to this facility in order to fully implement standard operating procedure505.02.01.001.
General Statement
This field memorandum is subject to revision at the discretion of the warden of this facility, chief of the Operations Division (or designee), or director of the Idaho Department of
Correction. Any one of these persons may revise, suspend, or rescind any procedural steps, at any time, at hissole discretion.

INSPECTIONS
Administration Hallway
The inspection will be conducted all areas of the administration hallway inspecting for any breaches in security and/or maintenance issues. The shift commander will be notified of any
breaches as well as an email to the person who occupies an office where the breach has been made A work order shall be completed on any maintenance issues.
Religious Activities Center, Education, Vocational Trades, and Maintenance
Staff assigned to these areas will complete an inspection of the security doors, windows, fire alarm systems, electrical panels, fire hazardous and maintenance issues. This inspection
will be recorded in the building log as Safety and Security Device Inspection, has been completed. Any discrepancies found will be reported to the shift commander.
Housing Units,Food Service,Visiting, Laundry,and Recreation The assigned officer will conduct a thorough, daily, inspection in the first hour of the shift. The inspection will pay particular
attention to locks, doors, windows, fire alarm systems, electrical panels, fire hazards, security breaches and maintenance items. This inspection will be logged in the unit log stating
a Safety and Security Device Inspection has been completed. Any discrepancies found will be reported to the unit supervisor and by IR to the shift commander.
Grounds and Perimeter InspectionsEach shift commander will ensure the grounds of ISCC are inspected for breaches of security, making sure to inspect the following:
Inside perimeter fence lines
Outside recreation area
Walkways
Outside Perimeter and fencesEach shift will conduct a walking inspection of the inside perimeter on each shift. This inspection will be recorded in the central control log. Exception:
Only if there is sufficient snow covering the ground (with no bare spots), may the perimeter patrol unit conduct the fence check from the outside perimeter road instead of the walking
inspection.The outside patrol officer on all shifts will conduct a drive-by and hands on inspection of the outside perimeter fence.This check will be noted in the outside patrol log.DAILY
