Purpose The purpose of this field memorandum is to provide specific guidelines that are unique to this facility in order to fully implement standard operating procedure325.02.01.001. General Statement This field memorandum is subject to revision at the discretion of the warden of this facility, chief of the Operations Division (or designee), or director of the Idaho Department of Correction. PREA Count Process…………………………………………………………………………2References2 PURPOSE OF THIS FIELD MEMORANDUM The purpose of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) is to ensure SOP 325.002.01.001, Prison Rape Elimination is followed in order to: Assist in management of the victim offender including temporary housing decisions. Effectively work with the victim to reduce the effects of severe psychological and physical effects. Identify imminent risk of suicide, homicide or self-harm the victim may be experiencing. Offer and/or provide a referral for counseling services from a counselor Strive to eliminate “consensual” sexual activity among the offender population. Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) is comprised of the following staff:Facility victim services coordinator (deputy warden of operations or designee) Mental health professional (assigned clinician) Medical provider (director of nursing or designee) Security (Shift Commander or designated investigations staff) REFERENCES SOP 315.02.01.001 Suicide Risk Management and Intervention Program – End of Document –
