Purpose The purpose of this field memorandum is to provide specific guidelines that are unique to this facility in order to fully implement standard operating procedure322.02.01.002. General Statement This field memorandum is subject to revision at the discretion of the Warden of this facility, Chief ofprisons (or designee), or Director of the Idaho Department of Correction. Any one of these persons may revise, suspend, or rescind any procedural steps, at any time, at hissole discretion. PROCEDURAL GUIDELINES The unit sergeants will coordinate in-house management moves to be completed generally on Sundays. When managing in-house moves unit sergeants will consider the following: In-house moves are conducted to maintain good orderly operation within the unit. Moves may be completed for worker placement in and out of the unit, e.g., worker tiers, etc., based on good institutional management. ISCC does not approve courtesy moves. All moves are based on the management need of safety, security, medical, and orderly operational purposes. Unit to unit moves will be generally completed during weekdays. An inmate may request to move to another unit or cell and can do so through their unit sergeant. The unit sergeant will review the request and if approved, will place the inmate on the move roster. The ISCC move coordinator reviews the move roster daily and will try to accommodate the request. Inmates wanting to move to another facility will first meet with their case manager. The case manager will confirm if the inmate meets the matrix for placement at the requested facility. If the offender meets the matrix, the case manager will notify the ISCC move coordinator. The ISCC move coordinator will check for cautions, holds, and safety concerns. If there are no concerns, the move coordinator will submit anPTR to the inmate placement group at Central Office to be placed on a waiting list. Move sheets will be published on a weekday basis, usually around 0900 and then as needed after midday count. REFERENCE SOP 322.02.01.002 Offender Placement Process – End of Document –
