Purpose
The purpose of this field memorandum is to provide specific guidelines that are unique to this facility in order to fully implement standard operating procedure.
General Statement
This field memorandum is subject to revision at the discretion of the Warden of this facility, Chief of the Operations Division (or designee), or Director of the Idaho Department of
Correction. Any one of these persons may revise, suspend, or rescind any procedural steps, at any time, at hissole discretion.

AMNESTY BOX
A secure Amnesty Box will be placed in the bathroom of Visitation. The Amnesty box will be available for any Visitor to place contraband without any consequences, in regards to the items
placed in the box. The Amnesty Box will be clearly labeled as an Amnesty Box. The box will be secured with a lock to ensure once items are place inside the box items will not be able
to be removed without the use of a restricted key.
DISPOSAL AND DOCUMENTATION OF CONTRABAND
Items located in the Amnesty Box will be considered contraband. The Investigations Sergeant will be the person to maintain and secure all the contraband from the Amnesty Box. The Investigations
Sergeant will be the only staff that will have access to the secure key that will gain access to the contraband. The removal and disposal of all contraband from the Amnesty box will
be conducted at a minimum of two times per month.
The removal and disposal of the contraband in the Amnesty Box will be completed as outlined in ISCC FM 116.02.01.001.
The Investigations Sergeant will supply a report to the Warden as to the contents of the Amnesty Box, as needed or when any contents are removed.
