HomeMy WebLinkAbout105.02.01.002 (ISCC FM) Administrative Duty Officer V 3 3-19 ______________________________ This document was approved by Randy Blades Warden of ISCC Purpose The purpose of this field memorandum is to provide specific guidelines that are unique to this facility in order to fully implement standard operating procedure 105.02.01.002. General Statement This field memorandum is subject to revision at the discretion of the warden of this facility, chief of the Operations Bureau (or designee), or director of the Idaho Department of Correction. Any one of these persons may revise, suspend, or rescind any procedural steps, at any time, at hissole discretion. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTY OFFICER’S RESPONSIBILITIES Semi-annually, the deputy warden of security’s office will draft a schedule for administrative duty officer coverage. Coverage will begin at 0800 hours on Mondayand end at 0800 hours on the following Monday. The schedule will be sent to the Prisons Division at central office and it will be posted in ISCC central control and shift commanders office. Both deputy wardens, the captain, and the administrative support manager and housing lieutenant will normally provide administrative duty officer service. Other supervisors may also be assigned this duty only as approved in advance by the deputy chief of prisons. The Warden will be notified of situations involving a serious injury to staff requiring relief of the staff member from duty, fires, death of an offender or staff, or lock-down of any portion of the facility. If, in the duty officer’s judgment, any situation seriously affects the operation of the institution, a courtesy notification call to the Warden is advised. Follow-up to major incidents will be reported in accordance with SOP 105.02.01.001 General Reporting and Investigation of Major Incidents.
