Purpose The purpose of this field memorandum is to provide specific guidelines that are unique to this facility to fully implement standard operating procedure. General Statement This field memorandum is subject to revision at the discretion of the Warden of this facility, Chief of the Operations Division (or designee), or Director of the Idaho Department of Correction. Visiting Schedule Administrate Segregation inmates will have the opportunity to have a visit one (1) session per week. If any visits are not utilized the remaining times will be forfeited and not carried over. Visitation for Administrative Segregation inmates is on a non-contact status. Administrative Segregation inmates will be allowed to visit during the times outlined for General Population inmates only. General Population inmates have three sessions per day on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Those times are as follows: Thursday: 1200-1415, 1500-1715, and 1800-2015 Friday: 1200-1415, 1500-1715, and 1800-2015 Saturday:0900-1115, 1200-1415, and 1500-1715 Sunday:0900-1115, 1200-1415, and 1500-1715 2. Visiting Room Capacity ISCC’s visiting room capacity is 175 and is posted in the visiting room. 3. Number of Allowed Visitors ISCC allows three (3) visitors per inmate, per visiting session. 4. Visiting Location All visiting at ISCC is conducted in the visiting room area. This includes non-contact visiting that is accomplished in the non-contact visiting booth/enclosure. 5. Use of Restrooms Visitor restroom use Visitors can use the restroom in the visiting area. Only one visitor at a time will be allowed to use the restroom unless they are accompanying an infant. Offender Restroom Use Inmates requiring the use of the restroom will be taken back to their cell in A-Block to use the restroom and the visit will be ended. 6. Escort The inmate will be restrained during escorts according to their status. The inmate will be searched either clothed or unclothed prior to and after their visiting session. Food purchased during visitation will not be allowed to leave the visitation area. The visitation enclosure will need to be searched before and after each visit to remove contraband and to inspect the enclosure for discrepancies. 7. Food Visitors are authorized to purchase food and drinks for their inmate. The food must be purchased in the ISCC visitation vending machines and cannot require the use of a microwave. After being purchased, all items must remain unopened and unaltered. Security staff will inspect the item for discrepancies and give it to the inmate in the non-contact visiting enclosure. 8. Visitation scheduling Roles and Responsibilities Step Tasks Inmate 1 Submits a concern form to ISCC Visitation to request a visit. Visitation Staff 2 Approve or deny visit, respond to concern form and return it to the inmate.
